Recommended firmware and PG5 version:
FW 023 or higher
PG5 1.4.100 or higher

With FW versions below 023 the power supply on the Profi S-IO connecter was not working.
Some improvments regarding the use of the Profi S-IO are implemented in PG5 1.4.100 or higer

Important point:
The Profi S-IO network needs termination resistants on both sides of the network, otherwise the connecting of the Profi S-Link adaptor will interrupt the communication on the bus. Note that if you are using Profibus connectors with internal termination resistant they have to be powered (plugged) otherwise the termination resistant is not active.
