Bad communication over TCP/IP between PCD7.D7xx displays and PCD controllers!

FAQ #101019

When a PCD7.D7xx display visualizes the resources from several PCD stations (more than 3) over Ether S-Bus, some stations don't respond or respond with the ressources from other stations!

Symptom
When a PCD7.D7xx display visualizes the resources from several PCD stations (more than 3) over Ether S-Bus, some stations don't respond or respond with the ressources from other stations!
The PCD7.D7xx has been programmed with PCD8.D81W version 5.12 or 5.18.

Reason
This pheonomenon is caused by a wrong handling of MAC addresses in the Ether-S-Bus driver from the panel, the MAC addresses of the IP stations are not correctly updated.

Solution
By updating the driver of the concerned panel, the described behaviour can easily be corrected. Therefore please:

  • download the attached version of the Ether-S-Bus driver (tcp_sbus.BIN)
  • unzip it and copy it to:
    C:\Program Files\SAIA\PCD8.D81W_518\firmware\
  • Compile the project and download it to the panel
