Why the letters of the alpa- or keypad software keyboard on the MB Panel have red crosses?

If the MB is not able to find the correct *.gif files, then the images are displayed with a red cross. The image below shows the alpapad keyboard.
Solution:
Change the setting 'order of file search' from 'no local file' search to 'local before remote' or 'remote before local'
This allows the MB to find the *.gifs which are needed for the buttons.
