If the PC where Saia PCD Supervisor is running, was powered off without shutting down the Saia PCD Supervisor then it’s possible that after power on of the PC, the platform daemon used from Saia PCD Supervisor will not start automatically during system restart.
It’s necessary to start the platform daemon for the Saia PCD Supervisor manually.
The attempt to start the daemon via a batch script didn't work either.
A modification on the registry could solve the problem.
The problem is not in relation with the platform daemon used from the Saia PCD Supervisor but it’s a problem in relation of the Windows internal timings between window services.
To solve the problem, the following modifications on the registry entry of the concerned PC should be done.
Make the following steps:
In Windows, go to Start > Run > and type regedit
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
With the control folder selected, right click in the pane on the right and select new DWORD Value
Name the new DWORD: ServicesPipeTimeout
Right-click ServicesPipeTimeout, and then click Modify
Click Decimal, type '180000', and then click OK
Restart the computer
If this in insufficient, try setting to 300000
